Scotland Calls: 100 years of Twentieth Century Scottish Photography
The Jenks Library at Gordon College and the Navigator Foundation present a preview of the exhibition Scotland Calls. The exhibition features photographs depicting the landscape, industrial scenes, customs and people of Scotland in the 20th Century. The photographs provide a brilliant panorama of Scottish history and aesthetics.

Parents and Friends Prayer Time
The Parents and Friends Prayer Group meets four times a year. It is an opportunity for folks to gather and pray for the needs of the College and of families in our Gordon community. We offer an email address, parentprayer@gordon.edu, where prayer requests can be submitted to this group. The first meeting is Friday, October 4 at 8:30 a.m. It will be hosted by Rebecca Lindsay at the President’s residence, Wilson House.

The chill in the air, the stadium lights burning bright and the excitement of witnessing in the biggest Flag Football games on the North Shore. Scottie Bowl III is taking things to another level, with the championship Men’s and Women’s Flag Football games Friday, October 4. Come cheer on your favorite Residence Hall. All are welcome—you won’t want to miss it!

13th Annual Kids' Fun Run
This once-around-the-quad run (about a 1/4 mile) is free for all children ages 10 and under. T-shirts and medals will be given to all participants, and five kids will win kids' activity tracker! The Fun Run begins at 8:30 a.m. and will take only a few minutes to complete, even at a walking pace! Free and open to any children.

13th Annual Scot Trot 5k
The course is almost completely flat with a few small hills. The race will begin at the center of campus with a full loop around the quad. Participants will run through the Gordon woods for great views and return to the quad for the final lap. North Shore Timing will be professionally timing the course.

Free registration for all current Gordon students (no t-shirt included), and runners registering by September 18 are guaranteed a long sleeve wicking running shirt! Race fee is $20 until September 18 and $25 September 19–October 5. Sign up now!

Kids' learn-to-row with Varsity Crews
Calling all 5–12-year-old aspiring scullers! Gordon Rowing is partnering with Kindersculls Youth Rowing Camps to bring mini rowing camp to Coy Pond at Homecoming! Kids'-sized single boats, oars and lifejackets will be provided, and coaches will be present in kayaks to help facilitate. (If you can’t do a jumping jack, you might be too little, but we’re happy to try!)

Stop by the rowing table at the Welcome Tent to sign up for a spot (bring a parent because you need to sign a waiver). Groups of up to eight will be launched every half hour, starting at 10:30 a.m. Scullers should meet at the Welcome Tent table to practice technique before heading over to the water. Rowing games and crafts will be at the table too, so feel free to stay a while.
